Dear Readers,

The Brands and Sourcing Leaders Association (BSL) today stands as India’s largest not-for-profit platform representing sourcing leaders from leading domestic and international brands, collectively accounting for over USD 55 billion in apparel and textile sourcing. The association brings together senior leadership from globally respected organizations including **Inditex, Mothercare, PVH Corp., Bestseller, JCPenney, Gap Inc., Adidas, Li & Fung, Puma, Target Corporation, H&M, Carrefour, Tesco, Aditya Birla Group, and PDS Limited, among many other global retail and sourcing leaders.

Today, BSL represents a powerful network of 500+ members across the India Chapter and more than 1000 members across 12 international chapters, spanning key global markets including Russia, the United States, Europe, and the United Arab Emirates. This growing global presence reflects the association’s commitment to building stronger international industry connections and enabling meaningful trade partnerships.

Vision for Global Trade & Industry Growth

BSL’s vision is centered on “Connecting Indian Brands to the World and Bringing Global Brands to India.” This approach resonates strongly with the economic vision of Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, particularly the aspiration of expanding the global footprint of “Made in India” and strengthening India’s journey from “Farm to Foreign.”

In alignment with this vision, BSL has set an ambitious roadmap to facilitate USD 2 Billion (₹18,000 Crore) in global business opportunities for the apparel and lifestyle sector between FY 2026–2028. This initiative reflects the association’s commitment to generating measurable economic impact, strengthening international sourcing partnerships, and supporting sustainable industry growth.

Global Outreach Summit 2.0

As part of this global vision, BSL is hosting Global Outreach Summit 2.0, one of the industry’s most significant CEO-level gatherings, scheduled for 28–30 April 2026 in New Delhi, India. The summit is designed as a landmark international platform that will bring together global and domestic apparel brands, retailers, manufacturers, investors, and policy leaders.

The objective is clear: to accelerate cross-border sourcing partnerships, unlock new trade opportunities, and foster deeper collaboration across the global textile and lifestyle ecosystem.

With over three decades of leadership in the international apparel and lifestyle industry, Raman Dutta, Chairman of the Brands and Sourcing Leaders Association, has played a significant role in strengthening global sourcing partnerships and advancing international trade engagement within the sector.

Under his leadership, BSL continues to advocate stronger collaboration between global brands, sourcing leaders, and manufacturing ecosystems, encouraging Indian enterprises to engage global markets with greater strategic clarity and long-term vision.

Through its initiatives, platforms, and global collaborations, BSL remains committed to enabling dialogue, strengthening partnerships, and supporting the industry’s transition toward a more connected, innovative and globally competitive future.
